In the 18th century, Richard Martin ran the Castle Inn. He was the postmaster in Windsor and the Mews was the stable block for the royal post horses. Every day they would deliver post between Windsor and Maidenhead. Today, you won’t be sharing your room with the horses, as the Mews has been converted into six super spacious bedrooms. There's room for all the family and the pet pooch too. All these rooms are dog friendly.
When you arrive, the Mews is your first building on your left. Grab a space as close as you can, leave your bags in the car and head to the hotel to check-in. The six Mews rooms are spread across two floors. There's no lift to these rooms so if you need help with your bags or a ground floor room, just shout.
The Mews is self-contained and has some of the best rooms and suites in the house. It can be hired exclusively for celebrations. Your own little party pad.
