From noon until late, Pennington’s serves proper British brasserie cooking, generous, comforting dishes made the way they should be. Expect true nose to tail cooking, from a rich ox cheek and ale pie, alongside plates such as a classic bacon chop topped with a fried egg and caper anchovy butter.
We’re passionate about supporting British farming and the landscapes that surround us, and our menus will reflect that every season.

A new brasserie
Created by the same team that brought Michelin-recognised Emberwood to Bath, Penningtons is now open. A new bar and British Brasserie shaped by warm hospitality, British seasonality and a love of simple things done well.

Windsor's local
Pennington’s takes its name from George Pennington, who ran the Mermaid Inn on this very spot in Windsor.
The mermaid in our logo is drawn from the Pennington Penny, a token issued by George Pennington in the 17th century. A small piece of local currency, and a lasting symbol of identity, trade and community in Windsor.
It is a quiet reminder that this has long been a place for gathering, where community came first and good food followed close behind.
That spirit carries forward into everything it does today. A modern British brasserie that honours the heritage of great British cooking while remaining unafraid to evolve. The past informs the present, it does not confine it.
