Served in our quintessentially English lounge, our menu celebrates one of our country's best traditions, putting one of our finest gentleman centre stage.
Our new menu has been created in collaboration with Captain Tom’s family and Castle Hotel Windsor will provide a 10% contribution to The Captain Tom Foundation, for every afternoon tea sold.

It was an honour to host Captain Sir Tom Moore and his family after he received his knighthood from Her Majesty The Queen at Windsor Castle in July 2020. The family had such a wonderful time celebrating over afternoon tea, that we asked to dedicate a special menu in his name. The Ingram-Moore family came to trial the Captain Sir Tom Moore Afternoon Tea and we were delighted to welcome them to celebrate its launch for our reopenng in May 2021.
A menu made for a hero
Guest can enjoy all the traditional elements of a quintessentially English afternoon tea – featuring some of Captain Sir Tom’s personal favourites. Our delectable selection of homemade finger sandwiches includes Captain Sir Tom’s much-loved Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese and homemade pickle sandwich, along with plain or jumbo fruit scones, served with homemade berries of the forest jam and Devonshire clotted cream.
Our menu also features delicious mini pastries, including Captain Sir Tom’s favourite creamy Victoria sponge cake, and we’ve created The Great British Army fruit torte and a Hope chocolate opera cake in recognition of the mission of The Captain Tom Foundation – to inspire hope where it is needed most.
We’re also proud to serve a classic selection of traditional tea blends, fruit and herb infusions, as well as green teas from Darvilles of Windsor, the purveyors of fine teas who have held the Royal Warrant for 70 years, and continue to supply teas to the Royal Household in Windsor Castle.
If you are celebrating, why not enhance your afternoon tea experience with a glass of prosecco or champagne?
